Summit Cinematics Intellectual Property Policy

Effective Date: 08-7-2026

1. Overview

Summit Cinematics respects the intellectual property rights of photographers, artists, customers, and other creators. As Summit Cinematics evolves into a global photography marketplace, our mission is to provide a platform where photographers can share, showcase, and sell their work while maintaining ownership and control over their creative property.

This Intellectual Property Policy explains how ownership, licensing, and the use of creative content are handled on the Summit Cinematics platform.

2. Ownership of Photography and Creative Works

Photographers who submit images to Summit Cinematics retain ownership of their original photographs and all associated intellectual property rights.

Submitting photographs to Summit Cinematics does not transfer copyright ownership to Summit Cinematics. Photographers remain the sole owners of their creative works unless they separately enter into a written agreement transferring ownership rights.

By submitting content to Summit Cinematics, photographers grant Summit Cinematics a limited, non-exclusive license to display, promote, market, reproduce, and fulfill orders containing their submitted work for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

3. Photographer License Agreement

Photographers grant Summit Cinematics permission to:

  • Display submitted photography on the Summit Cinematics website and related platforms

  • Use images for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes

  • Create and fulfill customer orders, including prints, framed artwork, canvas products, postcards, and other approved products

  • Showcase photographer work as part of Summit Cinematics collections and marketplace features

This license exists only to operate, promote, and improve the Summit Cinematics marketplace.

Photographers maintain the right to remove their work from the marketplace according to the terms of their photographer agreement.

4. Photographer Responsibilities

By submitting content to Summit Cinematics, photographers confirm that:

  • They own the rights to the photographs they submit

  • They have permission to use any included subjects, locations, trademarks, or third-party materials when required

  • Their submissions do not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal rights of another person or organization

Photographers are responsible for ensuring that their submitted work is original or properly licensed.

5. Customer Purchases and Usage Rights

When customers purchase products featuring photography from Summit Cinematics, they are purchasing a physical product and a personal-use license.

Customers may:

  • Display purchased artwork privately

  • Enjoy purchased products in personal spaces

Customers may not:

  • Reproduce or copy purchased images

  • Sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit purchased photography

  • Claim ownership of the artwork or photograph

  • Use purchased images for commercial purposes without permission

Copyright and ownership remain with the original photographer.

6. Copyright Protection and Unauthorized Use

Summit Cinematics does not permit unauthorized copying, downloading, distribution, or commercial use of photographs displayed on the platform.

If Summit Cinematics becomes aware of unauthorized use of copyrighted material, we may take appropriate action, including removing content, restricting accounts, or cooperating with rights holders to protect intellectual property.
